Alyssa Poteet

Alyssa Poteet is a sassy-smart comic & filmmaker from Chicago. You may know her from her reign as the Comedy Store’s Roast Battle Champion or Edinburgh Fringe Fest’s LGBTQIA+ show, Alphabet Soup. She’s the creator of the new viral hidden-camera politics show, Feet On The Street with Alyssa Poteet where she regularly embarasses herself in public for the sake of your amusement.

Alyssa’s standup has taken her around the world & her clips have accumulated millions of views. She was selected as one of the Fresh Faces at Laugh Factory Hollywood and has performed in numerous festivals, including: Bergamot Comedy Festival, SLO Comedy Festival, Portland Comedy
Festival, and AV Comedy Festival. Her standup has won her 1st place in the Future is Female Comedy Contest, Judges Favorite at Flappers Comedy Club’s Contest, 3rd place at the US Comedy Contest, & some other stuff… but we’re not going to make this paragraph any more obnoxiously long than it already is!

Currently Alyssa’s been diving into her passion project FOTS NEWS: a show where she’s a gullible journalist who interviews & pranks real people to try and make sense of the news in our world of misinformation. Nathan Fielder has always been her biggest inspiration, and she aspires to be as psychotic in public as he is.

Other film projects Alyssa’s worked on include her appearance in the feature film Mysterious Ways with Eddie Pepitone, original sketches with her sketch group Try Harder Sometimes, and and a comedic featurette for the movie Thor: Love and Thunder that she wrote staring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and a live goat. You can also check out her award winning web series, Dog Moms —starring Alyssa’s beloved one-in-a-lifetime-talent of a dog, Tammy!
